Reanimated는 하이브리드 퍼포먼스 애니메이션이라는 장르를 통하여, 무용, 애니메이션, 컴퓨터 그래픽스가 혼합되어 보여지는 영상기법의 새로운 형식을 표현하려는 시도를 한 작품이다.
작가는 연속적인 인체의 움직임을 정지된 동작으로 분절해서 표현함으로써 시간 공간의 개념을 애니메이션에 끌어들여 화면을 구성해 보고자 했다.
또한, 이 연속적인 이미지들은 에드워드 마이브리지, 마르셀 뒤샹같은 예술가들이 평면 안에서 움직임을 표현하려고 했던 시도들과 반대로 연속된 이미지속에 담겨 있는 시간과 공간이 정지된 동작으로 구분되어 분명 다른 시각적 형태로 보여진다.
Through the genre of hybrid performance animation, Reanimated & Rebirth is a piece of work that has attempted at expressing the new form of video method that displays by blending dance, animation and computer graphics. The artist has divided the continuous movements of the human body into suspended movements for expression to draw in the concept of time space in an attempt to constitute the screen.
Moreover, these continuous images are opposite to the attempts of the artists like Edward Muggeridge and Marcel Duchamp that tried to express movements within one plane, they are divided as the suspended movements of time and space held within the continuous images to clearly appear as different visual forms.
